MP3 Powered Sex Toy
» Sex toys
Erotic technology marches on:
Developed using a team of 500 beta testers, the Ohmibod is a music-powered vibrator that translates tunes from any MP3 player (actually any audio source so iRiver, Creative, Zune etc will all work too) into vibrations. Offered as an “acsexory” aimed squarely at the world’s largest selling personal entertainment device (the Apple iPod), the aim of the slick marketing exercise is to make vibrators socially acceptable.

How does this acsexory work? Does it vibrate to the bass end of the music or does it changes frequency with the melody? I was thinking about putting this one in my baby’s stocking this year for Christmas…

Don’t know the details.
This really wasn’t the first toy like this.
And I’m sure I saw a combination that combined some soft of PC interface and a highly configural software.

While I have your attention…Can you explain to be what electro-play is? I have seen that different equipment on JT Stockroom, but I have never seen it used in a sexual context. I am itching to find out how a session would go.

It covers a pretty large range from mild stimulation to heavy S&M.
Supposedly some men can achieve orgasm from using something like a TENS unit. The unit comes with pads but there are penis strap made specifically for this. Similarly women: there’s a range of anal and vaginal insertables.
I’m not sure how many people can actually climax that way but many probably find the unusual sensations on intimate parts of their body exciting. I bought a TENS unit sometime back but think I spent too little money. Even on high the sensations were very, very mild and merely odd.
On the S&M side there are all sorts of amazingly configurable machines and attachments. The Stockroom – not that I fault them – sell only a fraction of all the electro-sex toys that are available.

I never knew about that, it sounds really interesting. It sounds almost deadly…Where could I go to learn more?

Juice: Electricity for Pleasure and Pain is supposed to be the best book on the subject but it is out of print. (Can be bought for about $20.00.)
There are certain practices that seem to be common but aren’t well documented and electro-sex seems to be one of them.
TENS units and the best electro-play toys are all adjustable so perhaps most people start out at the lowest setting and experiment a bit. You can buy TENS units all over the web and at many medical supply stores.
