Hooray for Nina Hartley
» Sex Education
Tristan Taormino:
She’s perpetually enthusiastic to talk about her vocation: ask her a question, and she’ll give you more than a mouthful of an answer: “I want people to understand the importance of developing sexual agency. To understand our own sexual nature and to accept it wholly so that we can express it in a healthy manner. To learn that any one of us can, at any time, choose to become sexually sane, and that it’s incumbent upon us, as adults, to do so.”

Interview with Violet Blue:
My philosophy about sex and sex play and the role they can have in the lives of adults. That I share my secrets for excellent hand work (essential to any good times in bed). I’m proud of my discussion of emotional and relational aspects of sex play, as it’s very helpful for people contemplating nontraditional sexual expression (swinging, BDSM, etc.) to know what the common pitfalls are. As I say, I’ve had all the sex, so you don’t have to. As a trained health care professional, I bring to the table a unique perspective on sex and sex play.
