A look at the history of the erotica superstar known as Zane.

Publishing houses balked.

Undeterred, the 38-year-old preacher’s daughter e-mailed the essays to a few friends. A flood of requests for more soon followed. So she self-published the essays, which soon morphed into books. She set up her own publishing house, Strebor Books.

By 2000, her book, Addicted, made bestseller lists. She has since sold millions and signed a deal with publishing giant Simon and Schuster.

Good for her, good for the women who enjoy her books.

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Kristina LaFerne Roberts. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
