On / Off Switch for Sperm

Sexual technologists have developed a remote control implantable sperm valve as a reversible contraceptive for men. Somehow I suspect the ickiness factor and possibly the fear of failure (however irrational) will keep this mechanism from becoming a popular form of birth control.
“It will be like turning a TV on and off with a remote control,” added team founder Derek Abbott, “except that the remote will probably be locked away in your local doctor’s office to safeguard against accidental pregnancy or potential misuse of the device.”

I think it’s about time they started looking for more options for guys when it comes to birth control. They keep coming out with new methods for women, but I don’t think it’s right that they should have to take so much of the responsibility for birth control. Plus, there are the few women who lie about it in order to try to get pregnant without her partner’s agreement. More options for men could help prevent that.
