Australia’s Department of Health and Human Services help disabled men find prostitutes (the men themselves pay for the services). To American ears such simple sanity sounds odd.
The proprietor of Hobart brothel Models High Class Action said a number of Government intellectually disabled clients were valued regulars at her Glenorchy establishment.
“It’s a very positive step for them, from the feedback I get from persons involved,” she said.
Clients included the profoundly disabled and people with acquired brain injuries.
“There’s a particular person who has improved dramatically since they started coming here. They are happier and communicating better,” she said.
Models High Class Action’s proprietor said she carefully matched intellectually disabled clients with the most appropriate worker.
