Some people have trouble remembering properly one of Allan Hancock College telephone numbers.

For years, people have been able to call 1-866-DIAL AHC free of charge to get information about classes and the school. Recently, students and staff who are mistakenly dialing 1-800 DIAL AHC have been greeted with a woman's sexy voice instead of the standard operator message. The voice urges callers to enter their credit card numbers for "fantasy talk." ...

Hancock officials had originally looked into getting an 800 number, but 1-800 DIAL AHC wasn't available at the time, Alarcio said. She said the school's looking into whatever legal channels are available, and she hoped people wouldn't boost the sex line's business by calling the number.
