It is circumcision season down in South Africa:
He said one initiate lost the front part - not the foreskin - of his penis and was admitted to St Barnabas hospital.
“Three of his co-initiates were taken to theatre and recircumcised,” said Kupelo.
Another 25 initiates have been admitted to Mthatha hospital complex with circumcision-related complications.
The number of initiates who have died since the start of the winter circumcision season has risen to 15.
