Somehow I don’t see a sexiest nuclear engineer contest starting up in the US.
Some sites call the title Miss Nuclear but Miss Atom seems to be the most common.
“There are a lot of beautiful women in the Russian nuclear sector,” said Ilya Platonov, who organizes the contest and also runs the www.nuclear.ru site.
The number of applicants for the Miss Atom title has trebled since the first competition in 2004 reaching 220 last year, said Platonov.
