Meet HRP-4C, soon to be walking down the cakewalk at a fashion show.
HRP-4C is designed to look like a typical Japanese woman. She’s 5ft 2ins tall, weighs 95 pounds and has chin-length black hair with bangs.
HRP-4C is a female robot.
At a demonstration, the robot waddled out, blinking and said, “Hello, everyone”, in a tiny feminine voice as its mouth moved.
I’m sure that tiny mouth inspires certain thoughts. Did you think sex robot? Of course you did. People have been expecting the Japanese to eventually perfect a sexbot. This is - even if unintentionally - another step in such an entity’s evolution.
