Sex criminals in the Czech Republic are having their testicles cut off as a form of treatment. The offender has to ask for surgical castration but there are means of encouraging the men to do the asking:
“In practically all the cases, these patients indicated that their application was at least partially instigated by fear of long-term detention,” the report said.
“Some patients claimed that the treating sexologist had explicitly told them that surgical castration was the only
available option to them and that refusal would mean lifelong detention.”And it warned that some “significantly” mentally retarded people had been castrated.
“In at least five cases, legally incapacitated offenders were surgically castrated,” the report said. “In all of these instances, the court-appointed guardian had signed the consent form; in two cases, the guardians were mayors.”
I hope Czech sex laws aren’t as foolish and insane as American: a teenage boy being labeled a sex criminal for life for having consensual sex with his girlfriend.
It wouldn’t surprise me for surgical castration to become a more common ‘treatment’ in America.

Um… actually I think a lot of people would like Czech sex laws… since you can have all the sex you want to once you´re fifteen (and they´ve tried to reduce the legal age to fourteen now). There are no public lists of sex criminals. And after several years of trials and appeals they´re still not sure whether the choirmaster who seems to have slept with about twenty of the underage girl singers should go to prison or if probation is enough. This is definitely not America. In some ways, one has to be grateful for that.
